On Wednesday, April 7, the Union College softball team will host the Boys & Girls Club of Schenectady for a special day during the Union doubleheader vs. Utica at 3:30 p.m.
The Club will recognize the March Youth of the Month and the 2009 Youth of the Year. In addition, fans can donate a monetary amount per strikeout, providing funds for every strikeout by a Union pitcher in the “K's for Kids” program. All monies raised will go to direct services for the youth at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Schenectady. Pledges can be made at the games, or prior to the games by emailing pledges to Union Head Softball Coach Jordan Stevens at: stevenj3@union.edu or calling 518-388-7120.
Since 1936 the Boys & Girls Clubs of Schenectady has been the largest youth serving agency in Schenectady County, focusing primarily on children from disadvantaged family, economic, and social circumstances. Today as we continue to grow and provide more services and programs to an increasing number of youth our need for support becomes greater than ever.
Fans can also print out a K's for Kids Brochure and bring it to the games, or fax it to 518-388-6695.
