COBLESKILL, NY – For the second time this season, the Union College men’s soccer team is on a three-game winning streak. The Dutchmen took down SUNY Cobleskill, 8-0, in non-conference play on Tuesday afternoon. Union (6-2-0) has outscored its opponents 27-3 and has produced six or more goals three times in eight games this season.
The trio of
Nicky Hoberman,
Ryan Banagan and
Ben Stewart each scored twice, with #
Craig Santangelo and
Teddy Steen adding a goal each.
Santagelo scored the game-winner 11:45 into the game and Hoberman followed with a pair at 25:37 and 44:37.
Banagan added his two at 53:52 and at 54:57. Steen kept the scoring at 67:52 and Stewart brought it home with goals at 75:02 and 84:39.
The Dutchmen outshot its opponent 28-2 with sophomore goaltender
Adam Margulies recording his third consecutive shutout.
The Dutchmen return to action on Saturday, Oct. 3 with a 1:30 p.m. match at Babson.
