LANCASTER, PA -- The #6 Union College women's lacrosse team, 15-3 after a first round victory over Rowan, will compete in the 2009 NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Regionals at Franklin & Marshall. Union will face the host #2 Diplomats (17-1) Saturday, May 9 at 11:30 a.m.

The game will be broadcast live on WRUC-FM 89.7 and on the web at www.TEAMLINE.cc.
Live statistics and live video will be available at the tournament home web page.

St. John Fisher (11-6) will face Tufts (15-2) at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. The winners of Saturday's semifinal games will meet at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 10 for the regional final and the right to advance to the national semifinals May 16 in Salem, VA. The national title game is May 17.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN -- The Union College women's lacrosse team (14-3) has been selected to the 2009 NCAA Division III Championships. The Dutchwomen will play Rowan University (8-8) on Wednesday, May 6 at Frank Bailey Field. Game time is 4:00 p.m. and tickets are priced at $5.00 for adults, $2.00 for students with I.D., while children age 2 and under are free. The Bailey Field Box Office will open at 3 p.m. and there are no advance sales for this event.

SCHENECTADY, NY -- Kate Marek scored with 11 seconds left in the first overtime session to lift #8 Hamilton to a 4-3 victory over #6 Union in the 2009 Liberty League Women's Lacrosse Championship Game at Frank Bailey Field Saturday. The Continentals, 14-2, won their third straight league title. The Dutchwomen, who have competed in the league title game in six straight seasons, fell to 14-3 and had a 12 game winning streak snapped. Hamilton's Liz Rave was selected as the tournament Most Valuable Player while Union was represented on the tourney team by #Kristin Joyce#, #Chelsea Charette#, #Allie Cuozzo# and #Cat Ruggiero#.

Paul-Etienne Coisne '12 of the men's crew team has spent a year in a French law university, has interned in New York City, and worked in Madrid, Spain. Paul has also backpacked in India and crossed France on a bike. He hopes to speak Spanish, Arabic, Japanese and Portuguese fluently.
