MESSAGE FROM THE SHINEBARGER FAMILY
Kristen Shinebarger is an active 8 year old and daughter of Union's own Shelly Shinebarger, our Director of Student Services. Kristen and other children that suffer from Ewing's Sarcoma, a rare type of cancer, appreciate your support.
Fans pledged a dollar amount towards every power play goal scored by the Dutchmen and Dutchwomen for the remainder of the 2010-11 season. The program ran during the hockey season from January 1 through the end of March.
Fans also donated at the Messa Rink Lobby Donation Box at all remaining home games. Special events also contributed to the cause, including the Run, Ribs & Reggae and SAAC Family Feud events.

MESSAGE FROM THE SHINEBARGER FAMILY
The Shinebarger Family wants to sincerely thank each and every one of you for your thoughts, prayers and support this year as we fight this battle with Kristen. We have found the Union College community support incredibly comforting and as a result are able to focus on Kristen's care and well-being. We want you to know that you have made a difference.
We have learned that what cancer does is force you to focus, to prioritize and you learn what is truly important!
