SCHENECTADY, N.Y.--The 10th-ranked Union College men's hockey team opens 2017 on the road at No. 5/5 Boston University on Thursday in its penultimate non-conference game of the regular season.

Noteworthy: Foo's goal extended his Division I-best and program-record point streak to 18 games … Ryan Scarfo pushed his point streak to six games with an assist (1G-5A) and J.C. Brassard picked up his third point in as many games (1G-2A) ... the loss snapped Union's six-game winning streak.

UNION VS. BOSTON UNIVERSITY ALL-TIME SERIES
Thursday's game marks just the third meeting between the two teams with Union holding a 1-0-1 edge in the series. 

LAST MEETING: Oct. 10, 2015 – Union 5, #3 BU 3 (OT)Alex Sakellaropoulos made 31 saves and Matt Wilkins scored with 2:49 remaining in regulation to lead the Dutchmen to a 5-3 win on Oct. 10, 2015. Five different players scored for Union in the win. Michael Pontarelli had a goal and an assist and Mike Vecchione chipped in with a pair of assists. The win was career No. 100 for Union head coach Rick Bennett.  

VS. HOCKEY EAST
Union has dominated Hockey East opponents in recent years, going 19-2-2 in their last 23 games, including a record of 5-1-1 last season. The Dutchmen notched a weekend sweep at Vermont in their only two games against Hockey East foes this season. 

ROAD WARRIORS
Union is 9-2-1 on the road this season, posting four wins against ranked opponents. The Dutchmen have scored a DI-best 50 away goals, outscoring their opponents 50-35. Alex Sakellaropoulos is a perfect 9-0-0 outside of Messa Rink, holding a 2.33 goals-against average and a .927 save percentage. Spencer Foo is tied for the DI lead with 10 road goals and 22 road points, while pacing the nation with a 19 rating.
