BOSTON, MA –
Union College men's lacrosse seniors Sean Aaron, Ethan Meyer and Robert Sullivan have been selected to participate in the 2012 USILA/Lax World North-South Game at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 25 at Harvard Stadium in Boston, MA. This marks the first time that Union has had three student-athletes in the North-South Game.

The North Team will be led by head coach Dave Campbell (Middlebury) and assistant coaches Gus Brakeley (Middlebury) and Marc Graham (Vassar).

Aaron, a two-year captain, three year starter and two-time USILA All-American and Liberty League Defensive Player of the Year honoree, wrapped up an outstanding career with a stellar senior season in net for the Dutchmen. A three-time Liberty League Defensive Performer of the Week, Aaron finished 13-5 on the season with a 6.49 GAA (13th NCAA) and a .650 save percentage (7th NCAA). Aaron was at his best in Liberty League play, completing the league slate with a record of 5-1 and a 6.17 GAA. His strongest performance came in a 6-3 win over RPI on April 14, when he stopped a season high 20 shots to help Union earn the victory.

Meyer, a Liberty League Second Team honoree, capped off a career year in his final season at Union with 18 goals and 15 assists. One of the top two-way players in the Liberty League, Meyer was at his best during postseason play, recording six goals and four assists in five games in the Liberty League Tournament and NCAA Tournament. He recorded a career high three goals on April 11 against Williams and again on May 4 against St. Lawrence in the Liberty League Semifinals.

Sullivan, who earned Liberty League Honorable Mention, was a key cog on a defense that kept opponents under ten goals in all but one game this season. Often matched up against the opposition's top offensive players, Sullivan and the Union defense had one of their strongest performances of the season in a 10-4 win over Bowdoin in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on May 12. Sullivan had 22 ground balls and eight caused turnovers to his credit this season.

Tickets for the USILA North-South Games, including the Division I-II game at 5:30 p.m., are five dollars ($5.00) and can be purchased at Harvard Stadium on game day.
