SCHENECTADY, NY - Sophomore goaltender
Troy Grosenick each earned ECAC Hockey Goaltender of the Week honors, the league announced Tuesday. Grosenick earned weekly honors for the second consecutive week and fourth time this season. Grosenick stopped 56 of 58 shots, helping the Dutchmen earn two wins this past weekend against Clarkson and St. Lawrence.
Grosenick picked up his third two-win ECAC Hockey weekend of the season and second weekend sweep against Clarkson (W, 5-2) and St. Lawrence (W, 6-0). Grosenick stopped 30 of 32 shots Friday night against the Golden Knights, and made all 26 stops against the Saints Saturday night for his fourth shutout of the season, and third in ECAC Hockey play. Grosenick leads all ECAC Hockey goaltenders at 9-2-1 with a 1.49 goals-against average and .946 save percentage in 12 league games.
Union will take on No. 20/RV Colgate on Friday night before squaring off against No. 14/14 Cornell on Saturday night, both contests beginning at 7:00 p.m.
