SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - Max Balter has been named Liberty League Field Performer of the Week after an excellent performance at the Continental Invitational indoor track and field meet at Hamilton College. This is the first time the senior has received Liberty League honors.

After earning ECAC qualifying marks with 6.89 meters in the long jump at RIT, Balter bested his own record by leaping 6.92 meters at Hamilton this weekend. Besides qualifying for the Championships yet again, the Massachusetts native took first-place in the long jump, broke his personal best record and set a new school record for Union College.

Balter and the Dutchmen are back in action this weekend on Saturday, January 28th, when they take on MIT at 11 a.m. in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
