Former Union College Crew member and current assistant coach Tim Nonna '06 climbed Uhuru Peak on March 5. The highest peak in Africa, Uhuru Peak is 19,344 feet above sea level located on the top of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.
It took seven days to climb but Nonna reached the summit with his parents to celebrate his mother's 65th birthday. It took nearly seven hours to climb the summit.
