SCHENECTADY, NY -- A day after being named the ECAC Hockey Player of the Week, Union College men's hockey senior Mario Valery-Trabucco has been named the InsideCollegeHockey.com National Player of the Week. The Montreal, Quebec native earned the honor after posting seven points, including four goals, in two games this past weekend.

 

Trabucco led Union to a pair of victories with an 11-2 win against Clarkson on Friday and a 4-2 win against St. Lawrence on Saturday. He had his fingerprints on five of Union's school-record 11 goals, which included a Trabucco hat trick. He followed with a goal and an assist the next night.

 

For the year, Trabucco has 16 goals, 19 assists and 35 points. He is tied for 11th nationally in points.

 

Union heads to Dartmouth on Friday, Feb. 12 and to Harvard on Saturday, Feb. 13. Both outings begin at 7 p.m.
