Drillinger, Sorensen and Schapp earn Liberty League Weekly Honors

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - Ian Drillinger,
David Sorensen and
Steve Schapp each earned Liberty League weekly honors on Monday. Schapp was named Co-Swimmer of the Week, Drillinger earned Co-Diver of the Week and Sorensen, a freshman, earned Co-Rookie of the Week.
It is the third weekly honor for Schapp, fifth for Drillinger and the first for Sorensen this season.
At Ithaca, Schapp won the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:47.68 and won the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 4:59.09. Drillinger won both diving contests, scoring 284.55 in the three meter and 258.35 in the one meter. Sorensen won the 200 IM with a time of 2:03.47, his first collegiate win.
The Dutchmen will be competing at the UNYSCA Championship from Feb. 24-27.
