Dutchmen move to 15th, Kinkaid honored by ECAC Hockey

SCHENECTADY, NY – The Union College men's ice hockey team moved to 15 in both the USCHO.com and the USA Today polls, while freshman Keith Kinkaid was named the ECAC Hockey Goaltender of the Week on Monday.
 
Led by Kinkaid, the Dutchmen knocked off Princeton on Friday, 4-1, and Quinnipiac on Saturday, 7-3. Union, which has been ranked for 10 consecutive weeks, received 368 points in the USCHO.com poll and 68 points in the USA Today poll.
 
Kinkaid, who was also named goaltender of the week on Nov. 30, 2009, turned away 35 shots at home against the Tigers, including 13 in the first period and 12 in the second. He followed with a 22 save performance against the Bobcats for his 11th victory of the season.
 
Kinkaid, who posted a .934 save percentage in the two games, has posted an 11-4-3 record, including a 10-2-2 conference record. He has registered a .909 save percentage and a 2.64 goals-against average. His .694 winning percentage ranks sixth in the nation.
 
The Dutchmen travel to ninth-ranked Cornell on Friday, Feb. 26 for a 7 p.m. matchup.
