SCHENECTADY, NY -- Union junior guard Leah Pepe has been named the Liberty League Women's Basketball Co-Guard of the Week. She shares the honor with St. Lawrence's Casey Capello. This is the sixth honor for the Dutchwomen this season.

Pepe averaged 19.5 points in two victories at home. She scored a career high 24 points with a career best six steals in a home win over Clarkson, and also had 15 points with five rebounds in the home win over St. Lawrence. She shot 52.0 percent (13-of-25) from the floor for the week.

This is the first time Pepe has won a Liberty League weekly honor in her career.

Union, winners of four straight, is 4-1 in the league and plays at 5-0 RPI Friday night at 6 p.m. The Dutchwomen, 6-9 overall, continue league play Saturday at Vassar at 2 p.m.
