Three Dutchmen honored by Liberty League

SCHENECTADY, NY – The Liberty League Baseball yearly awards were announced on Thursday and sophomore utility player Jarid Hotaling was named second team all-conference, while senior outfielders Pat Wilson and Paul Mene were earned honorable mention accolades.
 
Hotaling batted .367, which ranks second on the team among players with 35-or-more at-bats, registering a team-high 47 hits and crossing home plate a team-best 32 times. The sophomore added 11 RBI, posting a home run, four triples and 10 doubles. His slugging percentage stood at .531, while his on-base mark was .438. Hotaling stole a team-best 14 bases, posted a team-high tying 13 multi-hit games and had a team-long 10 game hitting streak.
 
Wilson, a captain, batted .358 with 16 RBI and a team-best five home runs. He registered 39 hits, including a team-best 11 doubles and one triple. He had a .615 slugging percentage and a .445 on-base percentage. Wilson registered a team-high tying 13 multi-hit games to go along with four multi-RBI games. He had a seven-game hitting streak, stole three bases and had a .986 fielding percentage.
 
Mene totaled seven multi-RBI games and led the team with 23 RBI. He batted a team-best .394 with 28 hits, including four doubles, a triple and a home run. Mene registered a .521 slugging percentage and a .397 on-base percentage, while having seven multi-hit games. The Fall Church, VA native batted .500 (16-32) with runners in scoring position and .917 (11-12) with runners on third.
 
The Dutchmen finished sixth in the conference with a 13-20 record and a 7-15 conference mark.
