CLINTON, NY – The men and women’s outdoor track and field team had success at the Hamilton Invitational on Saturday, winning nine events. Senior
Jun-Ho Ham claimed victory in the Shot Put (14.96m) and the Discus Throw (43.71m), while Senior
Josie McDermott won the High Jump (1.50m).
Junior Jon Peters joined Ham atop the Discus Throw winners podium with a second-place throw of 38.33m. Freshman
Kyle Bucklin won the Long Jump with a distance of 6.91m.
In the track events, Union, which won the 4x400m Relay with a time of 3:26.96, got second-place results from sophomore Dearon Panossian# in the 800m Run with a mark of 1:58.89, sophomore
Philip Lambert in the 100m Hurdles with a time of 16.73 and sophomore
Davis Barber with a posting of 51.15.
In the 500m Run, Union took second, third and fourth place. Junior
Tom Fagin was second with a time of 17:23.51, while junior Zack Patnode finished third with a mark of 17:49.24 and sophomore #Ben Lawrence was fourth with a time of 17:50.61.
The women’s team, which won the 4x100m Relay (52.91) and the 4x400m Relay (4:21.30), saw freshman
Kaileigh Moore win the 800m Run with a time of 2:34.01.
Freshman Kaitlin Camileri placed first in the Hammer Throw with a distance of 36.48m.
Both teams will compete at the Spring Invitational at RPI on Saturday, April 25.
