Powers honored by Liberty League and national website

SCHENECTADY, NY -- Union junior
Kelsey Powers has received two honors this week for Union College's field hockey team. Powers was recognized by the national website, Womensfieldhockey.com, to the Division III Honor Roll. She also received the Liberty League Co-Offensive Performer of the Week Award, sharing the honor with Joss-Elyse Smith of St. Lawrence.
Powers scored two goals and assisted on the other Sunday in the 3-1 win at William Smith that put Union into the Liberty League Tournament. In Saturday's key 3-2 win at Rochester, Powers had a goal and an assist. She now has six goals on the season.
Union will conclude the regular season Friday at SUNY New Paltz at 4:30 p.m. The Dutchwomen will play a Liberty League Semifinal Game on Wednesday, November 4 at a site to be announced.
