CHANDLER, AZ -- Unon College senior Anne Hanson (White River Junction, VT) has been named to the 2008 National Field Hockey Coaches Association All-Star Team. She will join 37 other student-athletes in the 2008 NHFCA Division III Senior All-Star Game, scheduled at Ursinus College in Collegeville, PA on Saturday, November 23.

In 17 games, Hanson has five goals, six shots and 16 points and has started every game for the 14-3 Dutchwomen. She has 46 shots, 23 on net, and has scored three game winning goals.

Hanson has helped Union to 47 wins during her four year career, the most of any senior class in Union history. She had seven shots on net in a win over Castleton and four on net in a win over Utica. Hanson had a goal and assisted on the other in a 2-1 win over Rochester. She scored in the first win over William Smith since the 1980 season. Hanson also earned a Liberty League Performer of the Week honor.

Hanson and her teammates open Liberty League Championship play Friday, November 7 with a 2 p.m. semifinal game Friday vs. Skidmore at St. Lawrence.
