SCHENECTADY, NY -- Hamilton defeated Union in two women's crew races Tuesday. The Continentals won the varsity 8 race, 9:23.2 to 9:27.8, and also took the novice 8, 9:59.1 to 10:46.1 in the last home event for the Dutchwomen this season on the Mohawk River.
In the varsity 8, the lineup for Unionw as made up of Kate Domnarski (Essex, CT/The Williams School) at coxswain, Heidi Millar (Cape Elizabeth, ME/Cape Elizabeth) at 8, Stephanie Seeman (Ledyard, CT/Ledyard) at 7, Leigh Mastin (Denville, NJ/Morris Knolls) at 6, Allie Paul (Saratoga Springs, NY/Saratoga Springs) at 5, Avanelle Riley (Mt. Vernon, ME/Maranacook Community) at 4, Cassandra Denefrio (Windham, NH/Bishop Guertin) at 3, Rachael Carson (Belle Mena, NJ/Montgomery) at 2, and Madalyn Lucier (Cleveland, OH/Hawken School) at 1.
Union's novice 8 team featured Victoria Peabody (Alexandria, VT/T.C. Williams) at coxswain, Ali Percy (Hamilton, MA/Hamilton Wenham) at 8, Katie Smidt (Andover, MA/Andover) at 7, Hannah Comeau (York, MA/Phillips Andover) at 6, Leah Robinson (Schenectady, NY/Home School) at 5, Ariel Palter (West Hartford, CT/Hall) at 4, Sarah Schinasi (Washington, DC/National Cathedral School for Girls) at 3, Molly Maguire (Burlington, ONT) at 2 and Julia Mayne (Dewitt, NY/Jamesville-Dewitt) at 1.
Union will compete in the Liberty League Championship at St. Lawrence on Saturday at 9 a.m.
