Trey Minter

MIDDLEBURY, VT -- The Union men's tennis team opened up the spring portion of the season with matches at Middlebury against the host school and Babson. Babson won the first match, 5-4, while the #6 Panthers took the second match, 9-0.

In the opener, Union got singles victories from Trey Minter (Bronxville, NY), Tom Haynes (Hanover, NH) and Saul Kurtz (Armonk, NY). Minter won his match in three sets, 6-3, 1-6, 6-2. Haynes was a straight sets victor at 6-4, 6-3 and Kurtz also won in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3.

In doubles play against Babson, Kurtz and Mike Kanner (Scarsdale, NY) posted an 8-3 triumph.
