Hovsepian named to North-South Game

TOWSON, MD – Union College men's lacrosse senior Charles Hovsepian has been selected to participated in the 2010 Lax World/USILA North-South Game on Friday, May 28 at Goucher College in Towson, MD. Hovsepian is one of 10 Liberty League student-athletes to be named to the 33 man roster.
 
The Division III game will begin at 3 p.m. at Beldon Field and will be followed by the Division I/II contest at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are available on site for $5.
 
The North-South game began in 1940, when Baltimore hosted the inaugural game, and has been the site for 22 North-South contests, including the first seven games. The last time the North-South game was held in Baltimore was 2007 at Calvert Hall.
 
Hovsepian was named to the All-Liberty League First Team as a short stick specialist. In 15 games, Hovsepian registered seven points with five goals and two assists. He collected 31 groundballs and caused 11 turnovers, helping Union become one of the top defensive teams in the country. The Hingham, MA native was one of four captains on the team.
