“Both John and Nicky have been important players for us in their first three seasons,” Guinn said. “In the fall both young men displayed the passion for winning and leadership qualities I look for in captains. This winter and spring John and Nicky have been instrumental in helping guide the team through the nontraditional season. I look forward to watching them grow as leaders from now through the fall.”
Manna, who scored the game-winning, overtime goal at RPI in the Liberty League semifinal in November, finished third on the team in 2009 with 13 points behind six goals and one assist. For his career, the Acton, MA native has played in 44 games, producing 11 goals, including four game-winners, and three assists.
Hoberman, a defender, was fourth on the team a season ago with eight points. He scored four goals, including the game-winner against John Jay in the opening game of the year. Hoberman, who hails from Westport, CT, has played in 42 career games, tallying five goals and two assists.
The Dutchmen open the season at home on Friday, Sept. 3 against Cazenovia at 3:30 p.m.
