The Dutchmen, who have been ranked for 11 consecutive weeks, earned a first round bye in the conference tournament thanks to a program best 12-4-4 ECAC Hockey mark and a third place finish. Union, which is 18-8-6 overall, has advanced to the quarterfinals for the third straight year. In 2007-08, the garnet and white earned a bye with a fourth place finish and followed in 2008-09 with a first round sweep of Clarkson -- the first series win in program history.
The other match ups include top-seeded Yale hosting 11th-seeded Brown, second-seeded Cornell welcoming ninth-seeded Harvard and fourth-seeded Colgate playing fifth-seeded St. Lawrence.
