SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - Steve Schapp,
Ian Drillinger and
Priscilla Wright each earned Liberty League weekly honors on Monday. Schapp and Wright each won Co-Swimmer of the Week while Drillinger won Co-Diver of the Week.
It is the second weekly honor for Schapp, fourth for Drillinger and the first for Wright this season.
Schapp picked up three event wins for the Dutchmen. He won the 400 yard freestyle along with Brian Scarlett, Billy Breitweiser and Todd Herman. The team finished the relay with a time of 3:14.81. Schapp picked up a huge win in the 1650 yard freestyle with a time of 17:05.85. Schapp's second win won in the 500 yard freestyle, turning in a time of 4:51.89.
Drillinger picked up wins in the one (279.44) and three (289.58) meter events.
Wright picked up three event wins against Hamilton last Saturday. Wright teamed up with Maria Prendergast, Lexi Bascom and Andrea Marois to win the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 1:53.60. Wright also teamed up with Erica Fugger, Diana Fletcher and Suzanne Foley to win the 400 yard relay (3:44.15). Wright's third win was in the 50 yard freestyle, where she turned in a time of 25.21.
Union concludes the regular season Saturday at Ithaca. The meet is scheduled to start at 2 p.m.
