NOTTINGHAM, NY – The Union College women's swimming & diving team completed the first day of the UNYSCSA Championships on Thursday.

In the 200 yard freestyle relay prelimary, the team of Priscilla Wright, Erica Fugger, Diana Fletcher and Maria Prendergast finished third with a time of 1:37.61.

In other preliminary competition, Fugger, Wright and Prendergast also finished in the top five in the 50 yard freestyle. Fugger (24.41), finished third while Wright (24.56) and Prendergast (24.61) finished fourth and fifth, respectively.

Sarah Yergeau turned in a time of 5:25.43 to finish first in Heat 5 of the 500 yard freestyle preliminary. Kelly Geary finished fourth in the second heat of that preliminary event with a mark of 5:17.25.

The Dutchwomen continue competing at the UNYSCSA Championship on Friday.
