SCHENECTADY, NY -- Two members of the Union College men's basketball team were named Liberty League weekly all stars for their performances in games through January 30. Freshman Keven Donohue was named the Co-Forward of the Week and senior Joey Lokitis received the Co-Guard of the Week honor.

Donohue also was named the ECAC Division III Upstate Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

Donohue shared the league's forward honor with Garrett Sharlow of St. Lawrence, and Lokitis shared his award with Skidmore's Jeff Altimar.

Donohue scored 20 points in back to back road league victories on the weekend. He scored a career high 20 while making seven of nine shots and five of six from the line in a win at RPI. He then hit for 20 again, making seven of 10 from the floor, in a victory at Vassar. For the week he shot .737 from the floor, connecting on 14 of 19 field goal attempts. This was Donohue's first career weekly honor.

Lokitis helped lead Union to two road league victories. He averaged 16.5 points, 6.0 assists, 6.5 rebounds and 3.5 steals in two games. He scored 18 points in all 40 minutes in the win at RPI, along with a season high six steals. At Vassar, he scored 15 with eight rebounds and six assists for the second straight night. This was the third time this season, and second consecutive time, that Lokitis received the weekly honor.

Union is red hot with a four game winning streak, and the Dutchmen are tied with Skidmore and St. Lawrence for first place in the Liberty League at 5-2. The second half of the league schedule begins Tuesday night at 8 p.m. when the Dutchmen (9-8 overall) play at Skidmore.
