WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Union College track & field team opened the 2010 season at Army’s Crowell Open on Saturday.
Philip Lambert highlighted the men's team by finishing sixth the 60 meter dash. On the women’s side,
Josie McDermott finished in the women high jump.
Other respectable finishes for the men include Kyle Bucklin (with a distance of 6.35m) and Max Balter (6.26) finishing third and fourth, respectively, in the long jump. Thomas Albano finished fifth in the pole vault.
On the women’s side, McDermott finished third with a mark of 3.88m.
Alex Cappola finished second in the men’s triple jump, marking a distance of 11.67m.
Judy Horan turned in a time of 29.48 in the women’s 200 meter dash to finish sixth.
Both Union teams will return to action next Saturday at the Williams College Invitational. The meet is scheduled to start at 11 a.m.
