SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Ian Drillinger and Meredith Nearpass each claimed Liberty League Diver of the Week honors while Steve Schapp earned Swimmer of the Week honors on Monday.

Nearpass has won the weekly honor for the third consecutive week, fourth this season. Drillinger won the Diver of the Week award for the second consecutive week while Schapp won Swimmer of the Week for the first time this season.

At Middlebury on January 23, Nearpass won both the one meter (228.75) and three meter (234.68) dives. Drillinger also won both the one and three meter dives with a score of 277.80 and 261.83, respectively. Schapp won the 500 yard freestyle (4:55.12).

At Williams on January 19, Drillinger and Schapp each picked up an event win. Drillinger won the three meter dive with a score of 295.20. Schapp won the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:48.32, beating Williams DJ Taylor, whose time was 1:49.89.

Union will conclude the home schedule this weekend against Hamilton on Saturday. The meet is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. at the Alumni Gym Pool.
