ROCHESTER, NY -- The Union College indoor track teams finished competition on Saturday at the 2009 NYSCTC Championships hosted by the Rochester Institute of Technology. The Dutchwomen's efforts were highlighted by junior
Allie Cuozzo's first-place finishing and ECAC qualifiying time of 2:18.51 in the 800 Meter Run. For the Dutchmen, freshman
Kyle Bucklin placed fifth and had an ECAC qualifying distance of 6.77m in the Long Jump.
The women's 4x200 Meter Relay team, which consisted of senior
Julie LaSpina and freshmen
Rachel Fitz,
Courtney Steiner and
Judy Horan, placed fifth with a mark of 1:50.86.
In the 4x800 Meter Relay, sophomore
Pearl Jurist-Schoen, junior
Rebecca Skudder, freshman Kaleigh Moore and senior
Chelsea Hargis finished fifth with a time of 10:24.68.
The men's 4x200 Meter Relay group placed third with an ECAC qualifying time of 1:31.92. The team was made up of sophomore
Phil Lambert, sophomore
Davis Barber, senior Patricio Guaiquil and Bucklin.
Both teams now turn their attention to the ECAC Championships, beginning on Friday, March 6 and ending on Saturday, March 7.
