UnionAthletics.com: Entering your senior season, you'll be serving as a captain. What does that mean to you and how best do you think you can serve the team in that role?
Meg Clark: It's an honor to be considered one of the leaders on this team, which I think is what being a captain is all about. I think we can best serve the team by using our experience, as well as acting as leaders both on and off the court.
UnionAthletics.com: What has been your favorite Union sports moment so far?
Meg Clark: My favorite moment so far would have to be when we hosted the Liberty League tournament last year. From day one of last season, our goal was to win the league and host the tournament. It was amazing to have such a competitive and exciting tournament on our own court.
UnionAthletics.com: What's next after college?
Meg Clark: I plan to continue my education after Union in speech-pathology.
UnionAthletics.com: What's your favorite team community service activity?
Meg Clark: Every year around Christmas time the team works with the Department of Social Services of Schenectady to sponsor a family for Christmas. We're given a wish list from the family, and as a team we are able to purchase the items on the list and allow the family to experience a memorable Christmas.
UnionAthletics.com: You're stuck on a deserted island. What are three things you want to have with you?
Meg Clark: My laptop, sour patch kids and water.
UnionAthletics.com: If you could go back to your freshmen year, what advice would you give yourself?
Meg Clark: As a freshmen I definitely did not fully take advantage of all the opportunities Union has to offer. As a junior I started writing for the school newspaper, which I really enjoy. So If I could go back and offer myself some advice, it would be to get involved in activities like the school newspaper sooner.
