TOWSON, MD – Union College women's soccer senior
Allison Cuozzo has selected to the ESPN the Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-America Second Team, the organizations announced on Tuesday. Cuozzo, the Liberty League Player of the Year, earns the honor for her performance on the field and in the classroom for the Fall term.
Cuozzo, a Norfolk, MA native, is a dual major in Spanish and Studio Art and carried a 4.0 GPA this past term. On the pitch, she had seven goals and three assists for 17 points for the 11-7 Dutchwomen. She was tied for sixth in the Liberty League for goals and was fourth in points. She helped lead Union to a league-best 50 goals and a 2.94 goals-per-game average. A three sport star athlete in soccer, lacrosse and track and field, Cuozzo has been a six-time Liberty League All-Academic Selection and has been named to the Dean's List every term. Cuozzo serves as the President of Union College's Student Athlete Advisory Committee.
This is the 16th time a Union student-athlete has been recognized by CoSIDA's Academic All-America program. This total includes second and third team selections.
