SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - Sophomore Kayleigh Ahern won three events and senior Meredith Nearpass won the one and three meter diving events as the Union College women's swimming & diving team defeated the University of Rochester 158-142 on Saturday at the Alumni Gym.

Along with senior Mary Kate Baumann, sophomore Priscilla Wright and junior Andrea Marois won the 200 yard medley relay in the first event of the meet.

In the 100 yard breaststroke, Ahern recorded a time of 1:09.56 to win the event. Finishing behind Ahern was Rochester's Jennifer Chung, who turned in 1:10.61. Ahern also won the 200 yard breaststroke, recording a time of 2:30.02. Ahern also won the 200 yard IM.

In the one meter dive, Nearpass scored a 225.96, winning the event. Rochester's Cheryl Bleachman scored 196.42 to finish behind Nearpass. In the three-meter dive, Nearpass scored a 239.25 to win the event. Bleachman scored 220.50, finishing behind Nearpass.

In single events, sophomore Erica Fugger won the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:02.43. Baumann won the 100 yard backstroke. Priscilla won the 50 yard freestyle and Marois won the 100 yard butterfly.
