SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – After being postponed on Wednesday due to inclement weather, the men's tennis team relocated their match indoors and defeated LeMoyne College 6-3 on Friday.
In doubles action, juniors
Saul Kurtz and Mike Kanner defeated 8-6 in the No. 2 spot while juniors Mike Goodnow and
Alex Katz defeated Andrew Gleason and Cameron Smith 8-2 to give the Dutchmen two points.
The Dutchmen secured the match win by winning four singles matches. In No. 1 singles, Nault came back and defeated Dan Sullivan 6-1, 3-6, 12-10. Katz picked up another win by defeating Brian Rice 8-3 in the No. 2 position.
Kurtz fought back and defeated Gleason 3-6, 6-4, 10-8 in the No. 4 spot while Kanner picked up another win in the No. 5 position, defeating Persia 8-5.
With the fall side of the 2009-10 schedule complete, Union will return to action on Feb. 10, 2010 at Wheaton College. The match is set to start at 3:30 p.m.
