Middlebury downs Dutchwomen field hockey squad, 4-0

SCHENECTADY, NY --
Four players each scored one goal in Middlebury's 4-0 field hockey win at Union Tuesday night at Frank Bailey Field. The Panthers improved to 6-2 overall after the non-league contest, while the Dutchwomen fell to 5-4. 

Lauren Greer (North Hampton, NH) added an assist on her goal and Madeline Brooks (Clayton, MO) posted the shutout while making one save. The Panthers had a 19-2 shot advatange and a 12-1 advantage in corners. 

Greer's second goal of the season at 13:27 opened the scoring, and Heather McCormack (Rowley, MA) also scored her second of the year with the Greer assist at 33:22. Mullery Doar (Winnetka, IL) at 43:20 and Sally Ryan (Mountain Lakes, NJ) at 65:09 provided the second half goals.

Union goaltender Sarah Rios made eight stops in the home net. 

The Dutchwomen,which opened a streak of six home games tonight, host Liberty League foes Hamilton Friday and St. Lawrence Saturday. Friday's game is at 4 p.m. at Bailey Field and the Saturday contest is at 1 p.m. at College Park.
