Scott's Overtime Goal Tops Old Westbury

Jack Scott's overtime goal gives the Dutchmen its ninth win on the season.

Old Westbury, N.Y. – Senior Jack Scott’s overtime goal gave the Union men’s soccer team a 2-1 win over Old Westbury Saturday afternoon.
Scott found the net in the 99th minute after receiving a pass from senior Ryan Banagan.
Old Westbury struck first when Victor Farfan scored in the 22nd minute off a pass from Scott Madocks.
But the Dutchmen evened the score in the 61st minute when senior Brendan Steiner scored off a pass by sophomore Kevin Giron.
The Dutchmen were very aggressive throughout the game, outshooting Old Westbury 28-8.
Union will conclude the road side of the season schedule on Oct. 20 at SUNY Plattsburgh. Kickoff is at 6 p.m. The Dutchmen will also be concluding a season-high of seven games on the road.
