Union runs at NCAA Regional

CANTON, NY –
The Union College men's cross country team battled the elements on Saturday at the 2008 Division III NCAA Atlantic Cross Country Regional and finished win 30th place with an team average of 30:13. Cortland, the number one ranked team in the country, won the competition with an average of 26:00 on the 8,000 meter course.

Just like ever other race this season, senior Patricio Guaiquil posted the Dutchmen's top time. The Astoria, NY native posted a time of 29:30 for 152nd place.

Ian Schwartz, who has been the Dutchmen's top freshman runner, also finished under 30 minutes with a time of 29:55 for the 167th spot.

Sophomores Dearon Panossian and Ben Lawrence were Union's third and fourth top performers with times of 30:09 and 30:37, respectively.
